Introducing the PGL727XHLT: Compact Coupled Inductors for High-Density VR Designs

YAGEO Group continues to advance power delivery solutions for next-generation computing. Our latest development, the PGL727XHLT coupled inductor, is purpose-built for powering processors, memory, FPGAs, and ASICs in servers, datacenters, and storage systems.

Why Coupled Inductors?
Traditional multiphase buck converters use discrete single-winding inductors. While effective, they face trade-offs: reducing inductance per phase improves transient response but increases ripple current, losses, and peak phase current.

Coupled inductors solve this challenge. By sharing windings on a single core, they reduce per-phase ripple without sacrificing transient performance. The result: lower losses, improved efficiency, and more headroom in demanding VR applications.

Key Features of the PGL727XHLT

  • Ultra-low profile: 4 mm max height
  • Optimized for Vcore power: Perfect for strict height requirements in servers and datacenters
  • High performance: 25 nH inductance per phase, 73 A saturation current at 105 °C
  • Flexible design options: Available in 2-, 3-, and 4-phase parts

Built on YAGEO Group Expertise
The PGL727XHLT leverages YAGEO Group’s decades of magnetics design experience, advanced simulation and testing, and strong partnerships with core vendors. Combined with our automated high-volume manufacturing, this ensures reliability, cost-effectiveness, and scalability for high-power density systems.
