Digi RPM

In and out of band power management for network devices

  • Remotely reboot or power devices on/off without onsite personnel
  • Remote monitoring of ambient temperature and electrical load
  • Configurable alarms provide continuous real-time monitoring
  • Integrates with Digi console servers for common interface management
  • Daisy-chain up to 10 Digi RPMs from a single RJ-45 serial port

The Digi Remote Power Manager (Digi RPM) is an intelligent power distribution unit for remote power management. It transparently integrates with the Digi Passport® and Digi CM™ product families, enabling console and power management from a common web interface menu.

The Digi RPM enables remote reboots and power on/off of connected devices from anywhere across the corporate LAN/WAN. It measures the combined electrical load of attached devices and provides statistics on average/apparent power, RMS voltage/current, circuit breaker status, maximum current and monitors ambient temperature. The Digi RPM provides real-time alerts and alarms for system reboots, changes to power usage, out-of-spec temperature readings and more, allowing immediate, remote response to on-site conditions and ensuring device uptime.

Cascading allows up to ten Digi RPMs to be daisy-chained from a single RJ-45 serial port. It comes with two RJ-45 serial ports, one for communication and one for daisy chaining. The Digi RPM is available in eight-port 1U rack-mountable and ten-port Zero-U rack-mountable versions, as well as 120VAC/20A and 240VAC/16A models (up to 10A per port).

Digi CM

Secure management for servers and network devices

  • Access and manage servers and IT devices via the serial console port
  • In-band and out-of-band console management
  • 8, 16, 32 or 48 serial ports (RJ-45); DC and dual AC power options
  • SSHv2 server and client ensure secure access
  • Secure clustering allows multi-server access via one IP address

The Digi CM provides secure access to any network device, even when the network is down. Users can manage their devices from anywhere using the corporate TCP/IP network, over the Internet, or through dial-up modem connections. This easy-to-use console management tool is ideal for managing servers, routers, switches and any network device with a serial port.

The built-in Automatic Device Recognition feature makes set-up and configuration of the Digi CM easy. Automatic Device Recognition detects attached devices, identifies them, and populates the Title page with details from the connected device. Additionally, Automatic Device Recognition monitors the connected serial ports and sends alerts when devices have been disconnected or are down.

The RemotePorts feature included with the Digi CM allows users to cost-effectively manage up to 48 additional remote devices from a single interface. Users can manage additional devices from the Digi CM using an auxiliary device or terminal server, or from across the network.

The Digi CM, used in conjunction with the Digi Remote Power Manager, offers comprehensive in- and out-of-band infrastructure management. Users can remotely power on/off connected devices, reboot servers, and receive notifications of changes in power usage, temperature readings, system reboots and more.

Digi Passport I-KVM

Cost-effective remote management combined with KVM/IP

  • Highly scalable with daisy chain Ethernet and daisy chain power
  • Virtual media support to transfer files to remote servers
  • Multiple-user, non-blocked access using web browser or free VNC viewers
  • Strong security support, AES encryption and RSA 2049-bit public key for video access
  • Cost-effective solution to IP enable analog KVMs

The Digi Passport I-KVM combines remote management of servers and network devices with KVM over IP functionality. One I-KVM is capable of managing one server using KVM/IP and a second device using a serial console port. Up to eight Digi Passport I-KVM units can be cascaded, using one Ethernet switch port and one power outlet. Users can add units as necessary, instead of buying expensive multi-port devices.

The Digi Passport I-KVM is a highly scalable management device designed for control of servers and network equipment in data centers and hard-to-reach remote sites.

The automatic adaptive compression feature built into the Digi Passport I-KVM lowers network overhead, using up to 100% less bandwidth than other solutions. Users can easily access the I-KVM over the network, the Internet, through free VNC viewers or handheld devices. No proprietary software is needed and there are no additional software fees.

The Digi Passport I-KVM is the best integrated, most cost-effective management solution available. It offers full BIOS control of servers, IP connectivity for analog KVM devices, secure SSH connections, local and remote port logging. This pocket-sized tool is ideal for managing remote servers and network devices and across a range of applications.
